Aardram Community Campaign in Kerala
The Aardram Community Health Campaign is an initiative of the Department of Health and Family Welfare, Kerala Government. It is based on the vision Documents of the 13th Five Year Plan of the Government of Kerala.
The main objectives of Mission Aardram are: 1. People-friendly Outpatient Services, 2. Re-engineering PHCs into FHCs, 3. Access to comprehensive health services for the marginalised/vulnerable population, 4. Standardization of services from primary care settings to tertiary settings.
It aims to tackle rising healthcare challenges in the state with active public participation. The campaign emphasises on encouraging people to cultivate healthy food habits regulating consumption of oil, fat, and sugar. It also focuses of improving health seeking behaviour for treatment and promotion of health. Another aim of the campaign is ensuring cleanliness and effective waste disposal. Efforts are also made under this program to ensure good mental health and de addiction. It also promotes exercises and activities.
