“New Wave” is an annual international contest of young performers of popular music. The main goal of the competition is to open new musical talents for the audience.
Since 2015, the competition is held in Sochi. In 2018, the final of the contest will be held from 4 to 9 September. The jury selected 16 most worthy contestants from Russia, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Bulgaria, Greece, Italy, Kazakhstan, Canada, Malta, the Netherlands, Ukraine.
A new page in the history of the “New Wave” is the move to Russia, which gives the contest a new breath and testifies to the strengthening of the country’s progressive status in the international music arena.
On the postage stamp, the Sochi Sea Commercial Port and the logo of the International Contest of Young Performers of Popular Music “New Wave” are depicted.
