The India Postal Department has released a special cover on the Chandbali Maa Kali Temple. Maa Dakhineshwar Kali is the presiding deity of Chandbali in the coastal district here of Odisha 29th September-2020.
This famous temple of Goddess Kali is about 100 years old. The yearly festival of Kali Puja of Chandbali is famous, which starts from Diwali and continues for ten days. Thousands of devotees come for darshan and offer puja. A lot has changed with time, the temple has renovated with beautiful architecture. Large idol of Maa Kali has been installed in the temple. My childhood memories are linked to this holy place. In our time during the festival, idol of Goddess Kali was made from mud. and after the festival, idols were immersed in the river.
