The Jersey branch of Lions Clubs International has distinguished itself as one of the most successful fundraisers in Britain with its annual event, the Swimarathon which raises a considerable sum for local charities. This important fundraising event is depicted on one of the six stamps within the set, whilst the remaining stamps and Miniature Sheet feature other significant projects supported by the Lions Clubs International.
