Federal Medical and Biological Agency of Russia

The Federal Medical and Biological Agency (FMBA of Russia) is a federal executive body that ensures radiation, chemical and biological safety of the country and population, as well as the organization of the health protection system at enterprises of strategically important industries with especially hazardous working conditions. It is directly subordinated to the Government of the Russian Federation.

The FMBA of Russia comprises more than 300 subordinate medical organizations and about 2.5 thousand healthcare facilities on the territory of Russia and Baikonur. There are 35 research and scientific-production centers working in the system of the FMBA of Russia.

Other significant areas of FMBA activities are space medicine, marine and diving medicine, sports medicine, blood service and donorship. The postage stamp provides images of the building and the emblem of the Federal Medical and Biological Agency.
