First T20 match at the Sports Hub Karyavattom
The First T20 International Cricket Match in Kerala between India and New Zealand was held on 7th November 2017 at Sports Hub, Thiruvananthapuram. The Sports Hub is also known as Green Field International Stadium. It is located at Karyavattom in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala. The stadium boasts of a seating capacity of 54,000 and offers a better view for spectators.
After a gap of 29 years, Trivandrum hosted an international match on the 7th November 2017. The tickets are priced at Rs. 700/-, Rs. 1000/- and Rs. 2000/-. With an authorisation from the school/ college authorities, students were given a concession on the Rs. 700/- tickets for Rs.350/-
The special cover issued on 06-11-2017 ( KL/29/2017), the eve of the match features a collage of images of the portraits of the captains of the two teams, the logos of BCCI, New Zealand Cricket and the Kerala Cricket Association. It also features the images of the Sports Hub Green Field International Stadium. The special pictorial cancellation is a line graphic sketch of a batsman in action.
