India post released a postage stamp on Dattopant Thengadi
Dattopant Thengadi was the nationalist trade union leader of India and the founder of Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh, Swadeshi Jagran Manch, Bharatiya Kisan Union.
Nationally revered sage Shree Dattopant Ji Thengadi was born on 10 November 1920, on Diwali, in a village called Arvi in Wardha district of Maharashtra. Dattopantji’s father was Shri Bapurao Dajiba Thengadi, a well-known advocate, and mother, Shrimati Janki Devi, full of serious spiritual interests, Sakshata Karunamurthy, and an ardent devotee of Lord Dattatreya.
