Legendary F1 Drivers – Jim Clark stamp issued Monaco, British driver Jim Clark, who was born in 1936, is one of the greatest drivers in the history of Formula 1, with 25 wins and 33 pole positions in 72 Grand Prix races, he was crowned wprld champion twice in 1963 and 1965, when he also won the Indianapolis 500 miles. He died prematurely in a Formula 2 race at the age of 32.
