Postage Stamp on Centenary of Mahasamadhi of Shri Shirdi Sai Baba

To commemorate the centenary of the ‘Mahasamadhi’ of Shri Shirdi Sai Baba, the Department of Posts under the Ministry of Communications, issued a postage stamp on Friday 15th December-2017.

The postage stamp was released by, Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Communications Manoj Sinha in the august presence of Dr Chandra Bhanu Satpathy. Under the inspiration and guidance of Satpathy, Shirdi Sai Global Foundation organised the grand event.

Addressing the huge audience, Satpathy emphasised on the life and messages of love and humanity of Shri Shirdi Sai Baba. He said how Shri Shirdi Sai Baba endured and yet served everybody that came to him.

He commended the efforts put in by the organisations dedicated to the cause of Shri Shirdi Sai Baba in India and all over the world. Speaking on this occasion, Manoj Sinha said that the economic or technological excellence is not the real identity of India, the real identity is its spiritual excellence. He said that Shri Shirdi Sai Baba was an epitome of spirituality. He also informed that it is a great moment for his department to release the above said postage stamp.
