Providence Girls Higher Secondary School, Kozhikode
Providence Girls’ Higher Secondary School is on of the many educational institutions conducted and managed by the Sisters of the Apostle Carmel Congregation. The school started functioning on June 23rd 1919 to give value based English education to the girls of the locality. Now the school has both Malayalam and English medium. The motto of the school is “ever hopeful”. The school bagged the Chakkiri Award for the best school in Kerala State in 1977-78.
The special cover issued on the occasion of the Centenary Celebrations held at Calicut features the colour image of the school edifice against a white background, the logo of the school and the 100 years logo. The special pictorial cancellation is a line graphic sketch of the school logo.
