Release of Special Cover on GST

To commemorate the launch of Goods and Services Tax (GST) from 1st July 2017, the Department of Post, Bihar Postal Circle organized an event and released a Special Cover at Philatelic Bureau of Patna GPO on Saturday.

The Special Cover was released by the Chief Postmaster General Bihar Circle, M.E. Haque in the presence of Postmaster General, Eastern Region, Bihar Anil Kumar and the Director Postal Services (HQ), Bihar Parimal Sinha. On this occasion there was a huge gathering of eminent Philatelists, Stamp lovers and delegates from Print and Electronic media.

Release of Special Cover on GST emphasizes the fact that the Goods and Service Tax Act is the India’s biggest tax reforms which will simplify the current system of taxation. After launch of GST the country has been converted into a unified market by replacing all indirect taxes with one tax i.e GST.

The Special cover indicates the benefits of GST and how it will help common man by reducing the cost and price of Goods and Services by removing multiplicity and complication of taxes and taxation system. The GST will be helpful in increasing the GDP of the country. The cover further speaks as how GST will make India Strong economy and will create on nation and one taxation and one market.

The Special Cover depicts the symbol of GST and it’s Logo, A Special cancellation was also released on this occasion depicting it’s symbol and date of it’s being effective from.
