Shah Rukh Khan – Badshah of Bollywood

Achievements – Shahrukh Khan is a highly celebrated actor cum producer of the Indian film industry in the present times. He has acted in various blockbuster movies like Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayange, Dil to Pagal Hai, Khabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham, Chak De India et al. He is the most influential actor among all his contemporaries in present day Bollywood.

He has acted in various blockbuster movies like Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayange, Dil to Pagal Hai, Khabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham, Chak De India and others. These have made Shahrukh hugely popular not only in India, but also across several other countries. He can easily be said to be the most influential actor among all his contemporaries in present day Bollywood. So much so that he is famously called King Khan in the Hindi filmdom.

King Khan, who was born to parents of Pathan ethnicity. Even though his family is Muslim, Shah Rukh was raised by Hindus for most of his life and as such, he nurtures a deep respect for both these religions. His father Taj Mohammed Khan was a freedom activist, while his mother Lateef Fatima was the adopted daughter of Major General Shah Nawaz Khan of the Janjua Rajput clan.

The life history of Shahrukh’s filmi career started out by working in television serials during the late 1980s. Being immensely talented and good looking, Shahrukh got noticed by the audience while playing the role of Commando Abhimanya Rai in the television serial Fauji. His debut in films happened with Deewana in 1992 that fared well. Shahrukh Khan has bagged six Filmfare Best Actor Awards. He has worked with the best talents of Bollywood.

His significant hits include films like Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge (1995), Kuch Kuch Hota Hai (1998), Veer Zaara (2004), Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna (2006) among others. The popularity of Shahrukh Khan can be gauged from the fact that his films not only witness substantial premiere screening in India, but also in the overseas destinations. Of late, he also tried his hand at production with films like Phir Bhi Dil Hai Hindustani and others. Recently, his statue was installed at London’s Madame Tassauds.
