Hanuman Garhi Temple is the most important and sacred place of Ayodhya. The Lord Hanuman is one of the five Chiranjivees “The Immortals” and this place is devoted to him. When Lord Ram was Leaving the mortal world after accomplishing his phenomena, he ceded the reign of Ayodhya to Hanuman, his best Bhakt or devout.
Hanuman Garhi Temple is located within the city of Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh (a state in India). The temple was built in the shape of a fort in the centre of the city and it takes 76 steps to the temple. It is also said that while walking barefoot towards the temple and with a pure mind, whatever wish you have will be granted by Lord Hanuman. Apart from the idol of Lord Hanuman, a statue of Maa Anjani (Lord Hanuman’s mother) and Bal Hanuman (Child version of Lord Hanuman) is also present in the temple. In the front of the central shrine an elevated veranda is made where Mahant, the Chief Priest and other priests delver sermons from time to time and devotees sit to worship and assimilate the holy energy. Since Lord Hanuman is also considered as the reincarnation of Lord Shiva, the Hanuman Garhi temple is one of the most famous temples amongst the Hindus.
