Aadyakrantikarak Raghoji Ramaji Bhangre was born in Koli Mahadev tribe in Devgaon in Ahmednagar. He fought Lending in Nasik district. He stage a public uprising against British Government at Junnar in 1845. While he was at Pandharpur, Leutanant Gayle with a force of hundreds of policemen captured at Raghoji (2nd January-1848) and after charging he was hanged at at the Thane Jail on 2nd May 1848.
