Special cover released on Palm Leaf Manuscripts of Kerala
A special cover on “Palm leaf manuscripts of Kerala” was released on 23rd January -2021 by Shri Pradipta Kumar Bisoi, Secretary and Chairman, Postal Service Board in the presence of Shri V Rajarajan, CPMG, Kerala Circle, Smt Mariamma Thomas, PMG, Central Region, and Smt Archana Gopinath, DPS Central Region.
This special cover is a tribute to the immense wisdom and traditional knowledge preserved and transmitted through the manuscripts. As a symbolic representation, a piece of palm leaf with the word ‘Tapaal’ inscribed in Vattezhuthu, Grantha, and modern Malayalam script is affixed on the special cover.
