TCI honored the legacy of its Founder Chairman P D Agarwal with Customized My Stamp and Special Cover

TCI honored the legacy of its Founder Chairman Late Shri P. D. Agarwal (PDji) on his Birth Centenary with the release of a Customized My Stamp and Special Cover.

It was a proud moment for India’s leading integrated supply chain and logistics solutions provider, Transport Corporation of India Ltd., as they celebrated the 100th Birth Anniversary of their Founder Chairman, Shri. Prabhudayal Agarwal (PD ji), through an official release of “Customized My Stamp and Special Cover”, commemorated in his memory. The stamp was released by the Department of Posts, Government of India, in the august presence of the Honorable Minister of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE), Shri. Dr. Mahendra Nath Pandey at New Delhi on 22nd of December, 2020. Department of Posts was represented by Shri. Dushyant Mudgal, Director Postal Services, Delhi Circle.

TCI was represented by Shri. D. P. Agarwal, Chairman & Managing Director – TCI Group, Mr. Vineet Agarwal, Managing Director – TCI, Mr. Chander Agarwal, Managing Director – TCI Express & Director TCI and Mr. Rajkiran Kanagala, Sr. VP & Group Head – Business Development.

Nearly 400 people were witness to this momentous occasion, including esteemed members of AIMTC, AITWA, other leading state transport associations, IIHMR, express and logistics industry, via online video conferencing.

Dr. Mahendra Nath Pandey, The Honorable Minister of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE), while addressing the gathering; having being so closely associated with Shri Prabhudayal Agarwal, the honorable minister mentioned that it is his privilege to have been given the opportunity to release the Customized My Stamp and Special Cover in honor of Shri. PDji.

Shri. Mahendra Nath Pandey, vividly recalled his interactions and experiences with Shri PDji and with TCI and quoted, “As a dedicated logistics company, backed with high values and virtues, there is not one transport challenge in the country that TCI has not stood up to. Shri. PDji started with just one truck plying between Calcutta and Bombay and even after it burnt in a fire, he compensated the customers. I believe that these ideals are followed even today and Shri PD ji managed to create a company that gives precedence to the nation and the society while serving with utmost sincerity, building confidence and trust in their customers. He appreciated TCI fraternity & Shri. DP. Agarwal especially for strengthening the legacy left behind by Shri. PDJi.

Shri. DP Agarwal, Chairman and Managing Director – TCI Group, felt humbled to remember how Shri PD Agarwal’s efforts have been instrumental and a continuous source of inspiration for them. He quoted the words of Shri PD ji, “I am ready to make any sacrifice to please the customer, if not why am I in this business. The customer is king.” and threw light on how Shri PD ji’s contribution to our society extends beyond transport to education, health, village development, women empowerment.

Mr. Chander Agarwal welcoming everyone quoted PD ji “To me life means one long opportunity to be good and to do well; if that is religion, I practice it most ardently every moment” that instilled in the audience, a sense of complete commitment towards society at large.
