The Central Marine Fisheries Research Institute is a marine fisheries research institute located at Kochi, India. It is an Indian Council of Agricultural Research institute.
The Institute celebrated 70 Glorious Years of Marine Fisheries Research in February 2017 and the Special Cover issued on this occasion features an image of the institute’s headquarters building at Kochi , the 70 years celebration logo, the logos of ICAR and CMFRI and the Swacha Bharat. The special pictorial cancellation is a graphic sketch of the 70 years logo. The stamp is of Swacha Bharat issued in 2016.
