The Post Cyprus launched last February 12 this series of four stamps dedicated to “Wildflowers of Cyprus”, the second part of this series that shows endemic plants and flowers of the region, and are also found in nearby regions or even far away. It is a graphic design work Manolis Emmanouel, with photographs of Christodoulos Makris, and printing Veridos Matsoukis SA., Greece. The stamps are displayed in miniature sheet with eight stamps of each denomination.

In addition to the stamps show the first day envelope image (FDC). The flowers are represented: the “Allium sphaerocephalon”, or garlic-mad, which is in the central and southern Europe, Asia and North Africa; the “tricolor Anthemis” blooming among the rocks, from February to May; the “venous Onobrychis,” a perennial plant that grows along the coast of the island; and “Tragopogon porrifolius”, originating from Mediterranean regions, but it is now in many other countries. It’s a beautiful series this theme so popular among collectors.
